ABOUT RE-AL CLUB, INC

Serving People in Recovery in Southern Fairfield County since 1969.

─

Corporate History

The Re-Al Club was organized in 1969 and incorporated in the State of

Connecticut on April 12, 1971 as a Non-stock Corporation. On June 25, 1984

the Re-Al Club, Inc. was granted a non-profit status from the I.R.S. as a 501

C-3 non-profit charity, which derives its funding from membership dues,

contributions from meetings, and individual and corporate charitable

donations.

Mission Statement

The Re-Al Club’s purpose is to assist people in recovery in maintaining

sobriety in their daily lives principally through 12 Step Programs (AA, NA, etc.)

Since 12 Step groups themselves must remain anonymous and unaffiliated

and cannot own property or accept outside funds, Re-Al Club, Inc. was

formed to provide safe facilities where 12 Step meetings can be held and

recovering alcoholics and addicts can support each other in leading sober

and socially productive lives.

Facilities

Re-Al Club has been operating in Stamford since its formation. Formerly

located in the Glenbrook Community Center, the club moved its quarters to

the campus of St. Cecelia’s Church on 9/1/2020. Re-Al maintains two meeting

rooms. AA meetings are held daily, each week at the Re-Al Club.

To become a member there is a $50 annual fee which may be paid in person, by check or Venmo.
